I just had Emergency Adventures with Celleigh and The Guy With The Migraine At SEARS Named Chuck! O-o I wasn't doing so well, didn't get much sleep today, went to bed around 10am and woke up around 4 to feed the TRULY staaaarving kitties. I had to take sinus medicine but felt queazy after eating leftover jambalaya for breakfast/lunch. Not too long into my internet rounds, I was in the other room and heard the answering machine picking up. I heard it was Celleigh and started trying to pick up but the phone didn't seem to be working at first and for a minute I thought it wouldn't let me pick up at all, and then when it DID I thought it cut out and cut me off! O-o That would have been BAD! Turns out her laptop wasn't turning on, and her LIFE is in that laptop... so we went on an expidition to SEARS to see if it was still under warrantee, and I was SO relieved to find out it IS. The guy who helped us is apparantly the regular person in charge of that department or at least working it all the time, and he told us that the part that was missing when she got it, because it was the store model and the last one left, could be replaced for free under the warrantee as well as the start up problem she was having. The funny/ironic thing was, when he went off to find something to help us Celleigh turned on her laptop so she could show him what was happening but it TURNED ON AND WORKED! Yeep! O-o Silly thing was showing off after freaking us out! :-P We shut it down and didn't show him but we got the numbers from him for the warantee support, which he had trouble writing down and he mentioned he had a migraine. Poor guy! @-@ I was confused with the numbers he gave me, I wasn't sure which was for what as he said something about they had a tech support service but he wasn't sure if they had it anymore, so he didn't know if we needed to call in and run through an over the phone service support session before taking it in to the repair center across the street (actually the highway!) tomorrow. So we got back to the van and headed out of the parking lot... and the van died. Seems like IT was jealous of the attention the computer was getting or something, haha! I asked her if she had her cell phone and said if we had to we could call Juan at work for help. We got lucky and after waiting a minute the van started up again and got us back to my apartment ok. We plugged in her computer here and it started up and worked fine. It still has some kind of disk checking for consistency thing it runs on her D drive every time it starts up though, and we don't know why it's doing that. So even though it's back to working as well as it did before this latest thing where it wouldn't start at all, there's still the missing part they should replace, and the USB port that isn't working so she can't run her webcam anymore, and the fact we don't know why it's running this check on the D drive at startup, as well as the fact that we don't know if the not starting thing might happen again as we can't figure out anything that might have caused it in the first place. I guessed something might have worked loose and the movement and vibration of the moving vehicle might have put it back, or it might have been overheated at her home and the A/C at SEARS and then again at my house cooled it, I know her place has been really hot with troubles with their window unit and fans.

Sooo.... we're off for more adventures tomorrow at the Tent Sale they'll be having at the repair center... joy! We'll be walking into what's already chaos and stress! O-o I called the number The Guy With The Migraine At SEARS Named Chuck gave me, turns out he wrote the same number twice, just one was with letters to help you remember it. I got an automated voice that had a voice menu and got lost trying to figure what options to pick to get to what we were looking for, which was tech support if it existed! I backtracked the menu and had Celleigh listen and guess and she finally got us through to being put on hold and then I talked to a nice lady for which English was NOT her first language, and I got the number for tech support. Tech support turned out to be closed for the day and cheerily told me to visit the SEARS website to shop etc. So, if we were supposed to go through a phone diagnostic or report or anything with tech support before taking it in physically, I hope that won't throw too big a monkey wrench in when we just bring it in tomorrow!

I'm still kind of incoherent and not up to cooking so Juan is bringing pizza home for dinner, I'm so glad we can afford that! I called him back to ask for some diet sodas so I can be sure to have a bit of a boost tomorrow if I need it waking up to deal with the computer expidition. I'm not making the same mistake I did yesterday of drinking a whole pot of coffee when I just needed a soda to make it through the afternoon slump that seems to hit me harder when I've had pain or sinus troubles. Juan is burned out on pizza, he says for life, but we still have some leftover jambalaya and chicken breasts and pasta and chili all in the freezer and fridge.

Oh yeah, I've been meaning to blog this... I wore a pair of my earrings that have been LOST for over a year... in my PURSE! A couple of days ago when we were rolling the money from the money jar to go to the comic book store and clean out our box, I grabbed my purse to see if I had enough nickles to make up the 11 we needed to finish another roll. I fished out all my change and kept feeling and hearing some in the bottom... I discovered change and my MISSING EARRINGS had worked their way through small gaps in the bottom of an inner zip pocket and were now INSIDE THE LINING! O-o I tried to see if I could work things back through the gaps they worked through but that didn't work. So I got the cuticle scissors and performed surgery on the lining of my purse down at the base and lo and behold, it birthed my lost earrings! FIVE PAIR of missing earrings!!! O-o Plus six dimes, three hair clips, a single earring that I'd found the mate to earlier in the bottom of my purse a few months ago, and a tiny screw that's the kind that comes in an eyeglasses repair kit!

You are 40% geek
You are a geek liaison, which means you go both ways. You can hang out with normal people or you can hang out with geeks which means you often have geeks as friends and/or have a job where you have to mediate between geeks and normal people. This is an important role and one of which you should be proud. In fact, you can make a good deal of money as a translator.

Normal: Tell our geek we need him to work this weekend.

You [to Geek]: We need more than that, Scotty. You'll have to stay until you can squeeze more outta them engines!

Geek [to You]: I'm givin' her all she's got, Captain, but we need more dilithium crystals!

-Hurt-
I hope you know this is my FAVORITE nine inch nails
song. Many people have left your life.. and it
seems that every time you are hurt even more.
Sometimes you consider killing everyone that's
ever hurt you, but deep down you know that you
care too much to do that. You are always there
waiting for them to come back into your life,
and would give them everything you have if they
did.. but you know you're just going to
disappoint them.

casablanca
"You must remember this, a kiss is still a
kiss". Your romance is Casablanca. A
classic story of love in trying times, chock
full of both cynicism and hope. You obviously
believe in true love, but you're also
constantly aware of practicality and societal
expectations. That's not always fun, but at
least it's realistic. Try not to let the Nazis
get you down too much.

You really would not kill anyone because you find
human life to be valuable. It's just not in
you. If you slew someone, it would be by
accident or out of defense. That's good for
you. You know that people live their own lives,
and you live yours. Killing is bad. Very bad.
Unless of course, you're in a situation where
you must.

You're complex, and get hurt easily - so you
rarely let people in if you can help it. You
can be somewhat of a loner, but just as easily
you could be the leader of many. You Tend to be
negative, and hard to relate to, but you give
off a relaxed image despite being insecure -
and secretly many people long to be like you,
not knowing how deep the Winter season really

I'm a spiritual person!
You're the spiritual / gentle soul! Pure in mind,
body, and heart, you are either a member of a
religious order of some sort or simply a very
caring and loving individual. In either case,
you more than likely possess a strong sense of
spirituality, radiating hope from your entire
being. You tag along with the hero in his/her
journey out of a desire to help those suffering
because of the forces of darkness that have
been plaguing your world as of late, and
although you more than likely have no real
offensive abilities to provide, you have the
largest of array of healing spells and/or
medical knowledge to make up for that lack and
this alone makes you a valuable traveling
companion. You tend to be kind and
compassionate, even to enemies, and normally
possess a quiet sort of personality. Your true
strength lies in this kindness, and you
miraculously hold onto it despite what you may
encounter in your perilous journeys. Your
friends know that they can rely on you whenever
they require aid, and you give your help to
anyone in need without a thought of getting
anything in return.

Somehow after having my right ovary removed which leaves me with a foot long scar from my ribcage down, I feel this really DOES embody "me" in a way. I know I usually try to be "child friendly" but this is art.... I hope I don't scare anyone by posting this. :-P

Your weasel is the Marbled Polecat!
Your weasel is the Marbled Polecat. Never heard of
them? Well, they're beautiful, live in northern
Asia and are very rare. Did we mention the good
looks?
Good news: A rather attractive and unique looking
mustelid. All the bluster of the big boys but
much finer outfitting.
Bad news: Well, no one has heard of you for a
REASON. You're endangered, buddy, like a lot of
other weasels. You just don't get the press
those darn prarie ferrets get.

What does this mean?

Suitable for 12 years or older. Starting to get interesting now, with more adult-themed storylines, but we're still talking in mild doses. You may find more colourful language, some human flesh, and maybe even some violence. Nothing creepy though.

Examples: Batman, Naked Gun 33 1/3

I Am A: Chaotic Good Elf Bard Thief

Alignment:
Chaotic Good characters are independent types with a strong belief in the value of goodness. They have little use for governments and other forces of order, and will generally do their own things, without heed to such groups.

Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.

Secondary Class:
Thieves are the most roguish of the classes. They are sneaky and nimble-fingered, and have skills with traps and locks. While not all use these skills for burglary, that is a common occupation of this class.

Deity:
Hanali Cenanil is the Chaotic Good elven goddess of love, beauty, and art. She is also known as the Heart of Gold and Lady Goldheart. Her followers delight in creation and youth, and work to spread happiness, love, and beauty. Their preferred weapon is the dagger.

Coffee-coffee-coffee-coffee, MUSHROOM, MUSHROOM! ...wait, wrong thing. :-P I just learned an important life lesson. Never drink an ENTIRE POT OF COFFEE by yourself on an EMPTY STOMACH when you haven't been having that much CAF-FIEND lately! O-o Whooooooooooooooooooooooooo! @-@ I've got the shakes! O-o And the typos!

In other news, I have my webcam! Juan got it for me yesterday before he went in to work and I've been busy making faces at it, I tested it out with a couple of friends and my mom and dad on yahoo messenger yesterday. I haven't tried making a video and emailing it yet, I'll test that and send a movie to my parents sometime this week... when I'm SANE again! O-o I went nuts last night with the cravings and munchies and Juan rescued me from trying to eat sardines in hot sauce with fruitcake. @-@ I had carrotsticks with ranch dip, and kiwi, and goji juice (from the Himalayas!) and an instant mix Irish Cream Cappucino. I still craved ice cream, pickles, and green olives. Juan stopped me from eating the pesto as a substitute for the green olives. Did I mention I lost my mind?! O-o I wanted to invent sardine ice cream with anchovy chunks.... @-@ And remembered my dad telling me about an ice cream parlor on a trip he took with my grandma and they tried pickle ice cream.

Today I spent most of my online time catching up at WorldSims and Cynosure, and playing games on Neopets... I started playing the Cliffhanger game again, it's a hangman game but I have to remember I can NOT play in using Firefox, I have to open a window in Internet Explorer or it says I lost even when I got it right and should have won! O-o I wonder how many times I'll make that mistake.... sigh. I had to find out the hard way with Neggsweeper too, when I tried to flag a bomb and blew it up instead. I've been playing Destruct-O-Match and Pyramids till I hit my daily limit, but I've started looking at other games too, like I played Cellblock the other day and it turned out to be a little like connect 4, except it's five in a row. I seem to be enjoying the puzzle type games. At this rate maybe I can level up Rundariladar faster. ^-^

I'm considering staying up late tonight playing Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town to work off all this COFFEE energy... I meant to play it some yesterday but didn't. I STILL haven't gotten to play since learning how to work the frisbee, and I'm anxious to get started training my dog to win next years frisbee catching contest at the beach. I did horribly at the second year's contest just now, since I hadn't realized when my dog was old enough to train and I hadn't trained him at ALL and this part of the game requires timing and reflexes... so I was DOOMED! :-P

Juan came home from work upset tonight because his brother called from the restaraunt and ordered beer at the last few minutes before the store closed, and Juan had to come home, tell me what was happening, and go back out to deliver the beer to the restaraunt before we can start making dinner together as planned. He brought me home a sandwich to eat since he knew I'd be starving havint to wait that much longer. ^-^ I defrosted the turkey meat in the microwave so it would be ready when he got home from work, and now when he gets back I'll talk him through how to make turkey and cabbage low carb lasagna, my own invention. ^-^ ...for some reason he doesn't want to let me near a knife or anything HOT while I've got the shakes from all that coffee! O-o He's so sweet!! ^-^

Today we didn't have Machacada for breakfast like Juan planned last night... he opened the dried meat and it was too old. Ick! We got ready for the day and ended up going to Quiznos for breakfast/lunch after going to Juan's work for him to clean the parking lot for the day. We counted up the change in the money jar last night and rolled it and he got it changed in for paper bills at work while we were there, and he also dropped off my butterfly clock necklace at the jewlers in his shopping center to pick up later, but he FORGOT about it till after the shops were closed!! O-o He assures me my necklace will be there tomorrow, or that someone will have dropped it off at his work so he'll get it back. At Quiznos they had a new diced turkey breast sandwich with chipotle barbeque sauce so we both tried it. It was yummy! I'm trying to figure how to corrupt the ingredients into a recipe I can make at home for an entree. ^-^ Then we went by the bank and ran into WolF there, and we got caught up on each other's lives just a little. We'll have to get together in the next couple of weeks before he goes off to conventions and we hope to move!! O-o Then we went to Best Buy to look at the webcams, and Juan thought the one there I wanted was the same one we'd seen the other day at Wal-Mart cheaper, so I decided to wait and get it cheaper tonight instead of buying it there.

After that we went to visit my parents and I read the family Round Robin Letter that had come around to my dad so it was his turn again to write. It was SUPPOSED to be sent to my brother and then to me BEFORE being sent to my father... but it looks like the older members of the family didn't believe that the "babies" generation would really try to write on their own, I guess we aren't worth sending it to.... O-o Everyone else is writing news about their KIDS who are in their 50s and 40s, and giving the writers stuff to tell about their grandchildren and great-grandchildren... my brother and I aren't exactly going to be writing about OUR grandkids... we don't even have babies yet, either of us! O-o Anyway, I didn't feel like I wanted to write a letter to put into it this time around, I didn't want to hold up the letter and make it late, but I'll want to write next time it comes around, which might be December or so. I figure we'll be moved by then and I can tell all the news of our relocation. The visit with my parents went pretty well... but there were a few weird bits, like when they brought out the measuring tape when my father hugged me and wanted to know how my "girth" was coming along.... O-o He also started messing with Juan and had him stand up against the wall to measure Juan's arm length against his.

After visiting a couple of hours we went to the next town over to go to our friend's comic book store and we FINALLY cleared out our box of reserved comic books like we've been saving up for before our move. It came to a total of $266.66! O-o All those sixes!!! @-@ Now that we have all those comic books HERE we'll have to go back through our collection and see which issues of what we're missing that we'd need to get to be all caught up with the titles we REALLY REALLY want to have! ^-^ After the comic shop we recovered at home a little and called LunaCorn and Yusuke to see what they were doing, and we went to the Restaraunt for dinner since they were there working. We stayed till it was closing time and then headed to Wal-Mart to get my webcam. Unfortunately, when we got there... dun dun DUN... it was the WRONG cam! Juan was mistaken and the cheaper one they had was the same brand, BUT it did NOT have a built-in microphone, which is one of the major features I was looking for in a webcam as my computer doesn't have a microphone at the moment! O-o We picked up some much needed dry erase markers while we were there, and Juan assures me that he'll pick up my web cam from Best Buy in the morning, getting up early to make sure he has time to help me set it up before he goes off to work. ^-^ So not yet, but SOON I should have my very own webcam to wreak havok on the web, whoohoo! Just think, my online friends can finally witness the hilarity that is the "CAT on my HEAD!!" event that happens so often when I'm on the computer or phone, and one of the cats LEAPS to the back of the computer chair unexpectedly while I am IN the chair!! Heehee! ^-^ It's bound to happen when I've got the webcam on sooner or later.... ~-^

We were just watching Adult Swim, and I've discovered that some poor lost soul named Hockey Chicken is being held captive in accordance to his will (as opposed to against his will!) at Adult Swim, till 1 million people vote to release him! You can see him at his web-cam and he's keeping a daily blog of his adventures!! Click Here! to vote for his release and watch! He's got big metal cut-outs of Aqua Teen Hunger Force characters there with him, making it even more surreal as he moves around with them sitting there, 2 dimensional more or less in a 3D environment and live captive.... ^-^

Yesterday was a busy day, we stayed up late Saturday night and Juan got up later than he planned to do the laundry, but he managed to get it done and get back home with it before I was really up for the day. I felt bad I didn't get to go with him but sinuses were bad. >-< We did a lot of talking Saturday night, about stuff like our problem where we both try to defer to each other on his days off, he feels I don't get out of the house much and I'm not always feeling well enough to do things I enjoy, so he wants to do whatever I want to do... and *I* feel that he does nothing but work and exist, not really investing any of his free time in himself, in the things HE wants to do... so we end up confused and frustrated wanting the other to plan SOMETHING to DO together! I told him we were like those vultures in the Disney animated Jungle Book, "So, whatcha wanna do? I dunno, what YOU wanna do?" :-P The one thing I knew I wanted to do was to go to the Bath Junkie store as I hadn't been there yet, and Celleigh was telling me about it the other day. Other than that, we had to make out our menu plans for the week and do grocery shopping, but I wasn't happy with just wasting the rest of the day doing NOTHING, unless that was what Juan really WANTED to do! Which would have been ok, because then I could have gone on about working on my own projects or reading or whatever while he got to read or play video games and just each have personal down time. I just hate being in Limbo and ending up with him flipping channels on the TV, not because he's looking for something he really wants to watch, but just to kill time. >-<

So I got up for the day a little before I was really feeling up to it, but I was excited to wake up to Juan making us Migas for breakfast like I'd asked if he could the night before. ^-^ Then we went to the Bath Junkie store and I sniffed quite a few, but nowhere near ALL, of the scented oils they had to add to their lotions and bath stuff, and I concocted the fragrance I wanted and had them mix it up in a moisturizing body spray. I ended up with apple, sage, sheer musk, sweet pea, and sweet clover in my blend, because I was trying to recreate the smell of the mountainside in Utah where I used to live as a kid, and it worked out pretty well. The mountainside had wild sweet peas growing all over it, and sage, and there was an apple tree in the empty lot below our house, and clover growing wild around the place. I couldn't find anything quite right for the smell of the scrub oak with the warm leaves drying in the sun, or any of the rain scents to get the smell of the river running through the canyon, with the wet rocks in the sun, but that's ok. I got a really great scent I think, and the lady who mixed it up was surprised with my combinations and seemed further surprised it smelled good to her! :-P I might go back and try to recreate the smells from the walk down to Vikings Holm at Lake Tahoe, they had a nice Forest Rain scent that was ALMOST like the "zingy" scent of the moss growing in the tiny waterfalls trickling down the sides of the path. I'm thinking that might smell good with "Teak" and "Dirt" they had there too. Easy on the dirt though. :-P

After my scent adventure I sprayed on a little of my new scent and drove poor Juan nuts asking every 5 minutes if he really liked it and thought I smelled good. ^-^ We did the grocery shopping at wal-mart and got caught in the thunderstorm rains but it wasn't a terribly heavy downpour, just steady and got us pretty wet by the time we'd trekked out to the car. We got groceries home and called LunaCorn to see what she and Yusuke were doing, and after a bit we went to Juan's parents house to meet up with them there and all hang out together with his parents. Juan's dad came home from the store with groceries and made hamburgers for dinner, bacon cheeseburgers actually! And then Juan and I ran to Dunkin Donuts to treat everyone to donuts and coffee. They have CHANGED a TON since the last time I'd been there! O-o They had a little covered porch outside with cafe tables, and sold whole coffee beans inside, with a little grinder for customers to use... I think they've become aware that with Krispy Kreme and Starbucks just on the other side of town they've got some competition now! :-P I got the caramel ice latte and got the mocha one for LunaCorn, and Juan got regular coffee for everyone else, since he'd been happy to learn Yusuke liked coffee. ^-^ We got back to the house with the donuts and coffee and after that LunaCorn was mostly working on the new menus for the restaraunt with her mom, and Yusuke and I were there trying to pick up a few words we understood here and there. We went back to LunaCorn's room to work on it and her internet connection was out! O-o It kept coming and going all evening while we were there, and when we got home to our place later, sure enough, it was still coming and going sporadically. We worked on trying to get a little section of a song intro cut so it was just that part, and then looped to last the time needed to run during the commercial for the restaraunt they're having made. I was glad we managed to get that done, but disappointed the menu info wasn't typed up by the time we left, so I'll have to wait till LunaCorn has time to type that up as a text file to send to me so I can help work on the new Menu layout. I'm excited about that. ^-^

We took Yusuke home with us after that, to pick up the glasses we were giving him that got left here when they used them and they ended up in our dishwasher instead of the box of glassware for him to take with him. Also his shaving gel and the pretty blown glass carosel he brought for LunaCorn. We have other stuff to give him but it should wait till his housewarming. ^-^ We gave him a ride home and got to see how his top landing floods at his apartment! O-o All the guest parking near his place was full but he said we could park in his assigned parking space, as he doesn't have a car of his own parked there. I was nervous about those posts being so narrow a fit for our WIDE boat of a car! O-o

We got home and watched tv while we both did computer stuff. We watched a movie about kids making their own summer camp, it had Christopher Loyd (spelling?) in it and was a cute movie. Then Juan found The Shakiest Gun in the West halfway through, with Don Knotts, and we watched that, but I kind of missed most of the end as I was composing an email to my dad. I realized I hadn't taken my medicine when we ate lunch/dinner at Juan's parents so I popped a bag of popcorn for a late supper to go with my medicine. The kitties went nuts thinking the rattling bag of popcorn HAD to be kitty treats, haha! ^-^ They KEEP doing that! I wonder if it'll happen EVERY time or if they'll eventually learn it's NOT treats. I joined Juan on the couch watching music videos and I liked the new animated one Linkin Park has out, it made me wonder if they watched the Ah-Ha pen and ink drawn animated video that was one of the first ones animated like that. The art style reminded me of Bill Plimpton and whoever did the animated parts for Kill Bill, and kind of a Heavy Metal the movie feel to it too.

Last night the downstairs neighbors were fighting again, screaming, swearing, slamming doors, thumping stuff around... at 4:30am. >-<>-< I really hope the next place we move I'll feel safe to go in the yard in daylight and wash the car, stuff like that.

I had popcorn for breakfast, and the kitties went WILD hoping the rattling kernels were KITTY TREATS! ^-^ But, alas, they were only popcorn kernels. And I JUST fed them before getting the popcorn out too! Greedy kitties! :-P

I'm about to start playing Harvest Moon again, did my morning routine, cleaned up the house a bit... but the clean dishes in the dishwasher are haunting me to put them away. Unfortunately I'm having a really bad time with leaning DOWN with my sinuses, as I discovered when cleaning the toilet and feeding the cats. >-< I'm hoping the last of my sinus medicine kicks in soon so I can take care of those dishes before they drive me insane! And before Juan gets home from work. :-P I also need to put new paper towels in the bathroom but I've managed to jam the new paper towels up on top of the fridge JUST out of reach, so I'll have to wait till Juan gets home for help with that. It's funny, I'm TALLER but he has longer arms! Same situation as my parents, haha!

Friday, July 23, 2004

Yesterday was one of those odd days that "didn't happen" for me. I stayed up till about 5am playing Harvest Moon from the night before, and then still couldn't sleep, so I took a shower and washed my hair, went sneaking into the bedroom to get clothes, and didn't even wake Juan up when I had to turn on the light on my side of the bed to rummage for them... he was passed out on TOP of the covers, snoring! Poor guy! Then I stayed up till about 8:30am reading some and doing computer stuff. I even ate an early breakfast, sort of... of honey mustard pretzels. :-P When I woke up in the early afternoon I had a TERRIBLE headache, felt dizzy, nauseated, had ringing ears, saw spots. NOT good! O-o I took pain pills and went back to sleep, and Juan got home early around 4pm and I roused up to tell him I wasn't feeling well. I got up about 5pm still feeling pretty bad but starving, so Juan got me some food and I was glad it stayed down. I took alka-seltzer about an hour or so later though. I kept really wanting a sprite or any lemon lime type of soda other than 7up, but told Juan he didn't have to run to the store. He's been pretty rough around the edges lately too. >-< I tried to stay up a little, to get to enjoy time with Juan and we watched a little tv together with the sound turned WAAAY down, and the living room lights off. The he read to me from the webcomics he's currently been catching up on archives with, and about 8pm I just gave up on trying to stay up and I went to bed early. Juan came to bed too about an hour later. I slept till 5am and just couldn't sleep anymore, had hot and cold sweats, still felt bad. I got up and read a little, then went back to bed about 8:30 again. I woke up for the day at 2pm when I was hearing a message on a phone call in my dream, where my parents were wanting me to come to THEIR farm to wait out the tornado in THEIR storm cellar, instead of staying on MY farm in MY storm cellar.... AN-yway... I woke up to realize in real life it was Moonwolf calling and leaving a message on the REAL answering machine so I bolted out and picked up the phone before he gave up on me being awake. ^-^ So I got ready for the day, washed face, put in eyes, actually... I ran around blind picking out clothes and getting dressed first! O-o I wasn't sure exactly how much time I had before they got here to pick me up!

I was ready to go when they got here, but we stayed here a bit before leaving. I showed Celleigh how I'd found the installs for Firefox so she wouldn't have to spend hours on dial-up trying to get it... but it was too big to fit on a floppy, and ridiculously small to burn to cd all by its lonesome! O-o We decided to go eat first as she and I were starving to the point where we couldn't think straight on anything else, and we got to Taco Bell and they surprised me by paying for my lunch too! Yay!! So I figure I'll save up more change and dollars and maybe next time I'll get to pay and treat. ^-^ Celleigh told me about the new Bath Junkie store near the mall, and we drove by it but didn't go there as it was so hot out. We got to Sears and got the bill paid on time, and that was a relief. The low payment this month covered the last month late fee AND the interest for this month, with about $2 going to the actual bill payment. I'd been worried it wouldn't cover both but it DID, so YAY!! ^-^

We came back to my apartment and Moonwolf took a nap while Celleigh and I found more stuff I had on my computer we could add to the burn cd for her. She's going through realizing she doesn't want more STUFF in her house, in her computer, in her life. It seems like dealing with her grandfather's death and getting ready for it to possibly be soon that she inherits her grandmother's house has had them going through their boxes and sorting out things, but she's found that there wasn't as much stuff to throw out or get rid of as she thought, they're pretty much down to things they really WANT to KEEP... just not places really to store and KEEP them so everything has a PLACE it BELONGS in their current home. Which gets me to thinking about how I want to work really hard on that when we unpack in our new place when we move, I don't want to have boxes of stuff unpacked, or stuff shoved here and there "for now" or "till we can deal with it." That's part of why I'm trying to hard to keep all the boxes we've got packed clearly labled.

I'm about to start in on playing Harvest Moon again, after my break from everything yesterday. I think I'll start leaving myself notes on what I'm currently trying to DO in the game, I forget what I'm doing and always remember too late and it's the wrong day for whatever it is in the game, or the store/shop etc. is closed for the day. :-P I figure I'll only play an hour or so till Juan comes home from work and I'll have the Jambalaya ready to eat for dinner by the time he gets home. ^-^

I made myself a new layout and graphics today! ^-^ I've been in the mood for something fresh and green, and wanting to do pretty things with the pictures one of my online friends took of her garden, so here it is! Tah-dah! I actually named this version of my blog too, "Verdant Serenity: Yoyo's Garden." ^-^ I'm very happy with it, and I finally got around to changing the colors in my tagboard too, something I sometimes don't get around to coordinating with the rest of my blog since I have to go to the tagboard site to change stuff.

Today was a very busy day! Starting, as usual, with last night! :-P I stayed up late playing Harvest Moon again, and went to bed sometime past 9 am to get a 4 hour nap before getting up for the day. I discovered a couple of funny tricks while I was playing, like the fact that if I used a tool even when it did no good, it still counted as using the tool, using up your energy, but it ALSO counted as tool use to qualify for the next upgrade! Ha-HAH! I stood around in my barn or the caves swishing my scythe or fishing pole all day and they're finally ready for upgrade to mystril. Heeheeheeheee... I'm bad. ^-^ I wish I'd figured that out earlier in the game, I would have had them even faster! Now my plan is to get them all to mystril, and find those cursed tools to bless them. ...I'm not obsessive... really.... much... if you squint.... ~-^

When I got up for the day we had breakfast for lunch. I made a cooked granola kind of like oatmeal and Juan loved it. ^-^ Then we rounded up the cats one by one and put them in the cat carriers to go visit the T.E.D. O-o He was a very nice Evil Doctor. :-P We found out Skywise does indeed weigh more than last time, he's now 13 and a half pounds! @-@ And might be a little more than that as the scale also registered 13.7 and 14.0 while he tried to run off it. Cutter weighs 10.8 pounds now so he's barely down a little from 11 pounds last time, and Ember is 9.9 and about the same as last time. I knew Skywise was getting heavier but I thought the other two were getting a lot lighter! It's just the DIFFERENCE between picking them up was throwing me off, haha! People at the Vet commented on the coloring Skywise and Cutter have, asking what kind of cats they were because they thought they were pretty. I guess they MIGHT be part something, but "American Shorthair" is about all we know to put, even with Skywise having longer softer fur with more of an undercoat. We've been getting questions and comments like that every time we take them to a Vet. ^-^ They all got their shots, 3 each, and little tags shaped like Texas. We got some more hairball gel for Ember since she may be throwing up because a hairball blocks the room where the food should go, although he didn't feel any blockage, so she may be just bolting her food and making herself sick. But a little hairball gel won't hurt, she LOVES the stuff! :-P

After we got the kitties home we rested a bit, then I made the menu for the week and we headed out of the house again. We stopped by my parents for a visit, and to pick up more Goji Juice (From the Himalayas!) and the air ionizer filter thing they bought for us to help with the smoke coming through the walls and making me sick. We had a really good visit, even with my dad checking me for how fat I am now when he hugged me at the end. He talked about his old cars he used to have, how he washed his uniform and put it on to dry when he was on a ship crossing the Atlantic while he was in the Army, we talked about Starship Troopers, and Electric Cars and Hybrids, and the plants in the yard, and the dryer ads I'd seen on tv, and in general there was a lot of laughing and one topic or story leading into the next. I think we were there for a couple of HOURS which usually seems like a LOT longer when they're working on "fixing" me instead of having a happy visit. I hope we have more visits like this one. ^-^

We realized we had to go home to pick up my medicine, and on the way home Juan noticed one of our neighbors was out on the street waving and trying to catch up to our car at the red light so we stopped and picked him up and gave him a ride to his father's house as he'd been stranded on the other side of town from where both our apartments and his parents' house are. He was supposed to have a ride but he doesn't know what happened and he would have had to WALK about 10 miles to get to his dad's! O-o He was about to start walking when we came along, so we had good timing! ^-^ It made me glad I forgot my medicine! :-P Then we picked up my medicine and went by the restaraunt to pick up Juan's basketball game he let his brother borrow, and to see LunaCorn and Yusuke to find out the new plans, if any, for rescheduling his housewarming. We stayed and ate late lunch/dinner and there were MORE people from DIFFERENT news stations there for dinner. ^-^ LunaCorn was nice and gave us a bag of chips to take home to make Nachos with later. My hands were shaking by the time we ate, so I was REALLY glad we got to eat!! @-@

After dinner we shopped at Wally-World and got all our groceries and I got stuff for Yusuke's housewarming. We found FAKE HONEY that was zero carbs, so I HAD to get that!! O-o I'll try it with my buckwheat pancakes next time we have those. ^-^ That was the only splurge not on our list and we still managed to come in under $35, so that was good. I plan to FINALLY make my chicken curry, and also try making chicken lo mein for the first time,(inventing it as I go!) and we got the alfredo sauce spinach pizza I've been wanting to try. We still have leftover chicken stir fry and jambalaya and chili in the freezer, and we got stuff to make "Super Nachos." We should be set for the week!

Juan is playing Gauntlet now, he was playing his NBA Street basketball game earlier while I was working on my graphics and template. I can't believe he's stayed up till 3 am now! He has to work in the morning! O-o But we're having fun and babbling back and forth as we go. ^-^ I don't know yet if I'll stay up after he goes to bed, I might play Harvest Moon again, or I might just read.

I couldn't sleep last night... so I stayed up ALLLLL night and played
TONS of Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town... I upgraded
my chicken coop AND my barn... which means I chopped over 950 cords of
wood.... O-o No wonder my arms are sore,
hahahahaaaaaa..... I can't believe I'm awake right now. I
only slept 4 hours, Kisty was supposed to come over but she's stuck at
another friend's house having an impromptu barbeque. Maybe we'll
finally get together and go see Spider-Man tomorrow, I think I'll call
in dead and play hookey from my life so we finally get to see that
movie!! ~-^

I'm glad I brushed my teeth and did most of my bedtime
routine before staying up all night, this morning I did my whole
morning routine again, (yay, I think it's becoming a habit!) and I'm
running the dishwasher now after cleaning up a bit in the
kitchen. Juan was wonderful last night and cleaned up the mixing
bowl and mixer blades from me and Celleigh baking cookies while we
visited yesterday. The cookies turned out pretty well considering
we messed up while making them and had adventures trying to use the
electric beaters on butter that could have used a LITTLE MORE softening
before we dumped it and the eggs on top of the flour, sugar, etc.
O-o I'm glad I finally got to use those huge chocolate
chips. ^-^

We did a lot more playing Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral
Town than Animal Crossing, I ran around my weedy town and took the
train to Narissia to visit since Celleigh brought her town over.
I wrote a couple of letters and a message on the town board.
^-^ I just know half the animals I didn't write will gripe about
me to the locals for a while now, haha! I caught my first Summer
bugs in the game in Narissia, a cicada and a couple of others, one was
a beetle but I forget which kind. I oogled her museum with all
but ONE fish, and all but ONE bug! @-@ Wow... I wonder how
long that'll take me at this rate, haha! I got to SEE the one
dragonfly that's eluding her, it flew past my character while I was
running through town. It would have been really funny if I'd
caught it, I think. :-P In Harvest Moon I got to see her
little boy with the goofy mousey ears hat and the HUGE extended house
and all the stuff I'm working on ordering from the television shopping
channel. When I stayed up all night I got the clock and mirror,
and had to laugh when I got to the phone to place the order and it
called it a WATCH instead of a clock! There are LOTS of
translation glitches like that, haha! And Celleigh showed me how
the guy who collects the goods to be shipped to sell will suddenly talk
to her charactr IN JAPANESE CHARACTERS and we have NO idea what he's
saying! O-o We joked that it might be the biggest game tip
of the whole game, hahahaa!! ^-^

Ember threw up again today, I think she's not sick so much as she bolts her food and then throws up. >-< She wanted me to put fresh food but there was still fresh food from 10 minutes ago in the dishes, so she ate some of that after being sick, and since she ate it more slowly I'm hoping it'll stay down. Looks like blogger has some new stuff added here to the posting area as this font I'm typing in looks different from yesterday, and it now has an "edit HTML" tab too.

Today is Animal Crossing Day! So I hope all goes well and we have fun, even though I STILL haven't gone back in time to catch up with my game... I figure at this point I'll let Celleigh see the devestation that my weed covered "haven't played in four months or so" town will be!! O-o I had leftover jambalaya for breakfast so hopefully I'll have plenty of energy. We're hoping to bake chocolate chip cookies as I found a bag of chocolate chips the other day cleaning out the pantry and cupboards, and I didn't know what else to make with it. Luckily it has a recipe right on the bag, haha! ^-^

Oh no! *gasp!* We have no coffee table!! @-@ Heehee! That's because we gave it away! ^-^ It does take some getting used to though, we walked in and the cats, who are often sitting ON the coffee table when we come home, were sitting where it used to be, so I HAD to tease and say "oh no kitties, who stole our coffee table?! Why didn't you STOP them?!" heeheeheehee.....

Juan got off work early unexpectedly so I had a completely different day than what I had planned. He called LunaCorn, who I'd been waiting on to call me, and since he was off instead of her picking me up when she picked up Yusuke to shop at the mall, we met in the bookstore and then shopped together, mostly at Lane Bryant(s?) (spelling?!) as she wanted longer length tunic type tops that came down to or past the hips. I like those kinds of tops too. ^-^ There was a really cute pink top with a gathered fabric rosette on the shoulder, but the only ones they had in the store were black so I won't be going back to get it, and it was too expensive for me really anyway. I wish I had LunaCorn's budget! But it's for her Fall semester clothes, and I guess shopping for school kind of takes a little of the fun out of it. Juan and I loaded our coffee table in the car and picked up two end table cabinets from the warehouse in his shopping center where the hearing center next to him was getting rid of their old end tables and let us have them for Yusuke. So we had a car full of stuff by the time we GOT to the mall, sort of opposite of Christmas shopping season, haha!

We took a few browsing detours, through Hot Topic (but they didn't have the chopsticks for hair I was hoping they might) and then Bath and Body Shop (where I found another scent I LOVE, Plumeria, but it's being discontinued, waaaaaaaah! >-< ), and then dropped in at some kind of drinks shop that had tapioca balls and a taro tea drink (that I MUST come back and try when we have money for splurge!) where LunaCorn ran into friends. Also just before that and after Bath and Body Works I found a shop neither of us had been to that had clothing in our sizes and a shirt that faded through several Autumnal colors caught my eye in the window. LunaCorn looked around too but didn't find anything she liked enough to try on.

The jeans she did get were CUTE with a dark denim and pinstriping in a stretch jean with bootcut legs, and a lighter version of one, and a petite version of the dark one, I think, by the time she'd tried on what she picked out. For the tops she got a GORGEOUS deep turquoise, almost blue green jade color top, it reminded me of Lake Tahoe near where we lived one of the places we moved growing up. It had a little ribbon bow off the shoulder, and a wide scoop neck with a broad band collar that was a very romantic neckline and while it looked very feminine in the pink she tried on as well it was more elegant in the darker color. Hmmm... maybe I should be a fashion critic, I'm starting to babble like one trying to describe all this! Anyway, that top was the JEWEL in the shopping expedition, in my opinion. ^-^ She aslo got a really nice V neck ruby/scarlet red top that brought out the gold in her skintone and eyes, and a black top with a textured material that was longest cut in length, like an actual tunic, so it looked like a mini-dress worn over jeans almost. Of those two I liked the red the best, but her mother had insisted she look for LONG tops, so she got the black one too. Her mother better admit she got what she said to with that one, haha! ^-^

After all this shopping I'm afraid the heat outside after all the walking I'm not used to INSIDE was wiping me out, so we took the coffee table and end tables over to Yusuke's new apartment and got to see it for a little bit. It's NICE! I mean NIIIIIIIICE!!!!! @-@ Good workspace layout in the kitchen, with a KITCHEN WINDOW OVER THE SINK I've LONGED for ever since moving out of my parents home, but have yet to have in a place I've lived on my own; and a nice dining nook with fan and light over it, large living room, built in shelves, a french sliding door to a balcony, a BACK door that leads to stairs going down to the POOL (!), and a HUGE bedroom with built in cupboard and drawers, multiple closets including a WALK IN CLOSET, a vanity area separate from the bathroom, and a sliding door to the bathroom that's also accessible from the hallway. WOW! @-@ It's bigger than the apartment Juan and I are in now, and it's just poor Yusuke by himself! Awwwwwwww!!! :-P It should feel less empty as he gets a few more pieces of furniture in there, and when he gets his computer and stuff shipped from his homestate. Oh yeah, and he's got a built in dishwasher and a garbage disposal, and unlike the disposal HERE, HIS WORKS! He even let me turn it on and try it out, haha! ^-^

After we left the apartments Juan stopped at a convenience store on the way home to revive me with soda and a protein bar and candy. I was getting dizzy and incoherent and "fading" as he puts it, where I trail off trying to speak and don't make sense and get quieter as I talk till he can't hear me. I can't tell when that happens if it's like the time I got heatstroke hiking as a teen, or if it's maybe low blood sugar, but it's difficult to focus mentally, I'm terribly thirsty, and I get dizzy and see those little floaty grey and black fuzzy spots that come before blacking out, so whatever it is it's NOT good, and rest and hydration and a little food usually help. I think the candy bar we got for free with my drink should have been thrown out, it was a weird texture though it still tasted pretty good. It had Cat in the Hat Movie promo on it, so it was from last year sometime.... O-o I should have gotten the big kit kat thing instead. Oh well. Juan shared his ogre colored peanut m&m's that I helpfully suggested he pick for his treat. ^-^ I'm pathetic and wanted them since I saw them, ogre sized and swamp colors.... heehee.

We were hoping I'd revive quickly so we could call our friend and go see the Spider-Man 2 movie we STILL haven't gone to see, but I was still dazed through our meal, that we ate at our dining table now that the coffee table is gone, yay! We ended up somehow watching a Lifetime Movie and looking up everyone on Babylon 5 at IMDB to see what projects they'd been working on lately. Then we watched some "I Love the 90s" and Juan went to pick up Taco Bell potato burritos I'm now craving like mad all the time, and we had supper at the table too, and I ate WAY too many pickled jalapeno slivers! @-@ I pulled off the excess of my flour tortilla and wrapped 2 slivers in that like a mini taco, then added 4 slivers to my actual burrito and ate that... but where I went wrong was I pulled ALL the excess off my second burrito, and wrapped 4 slivers in the end of that, rolled it once, put 2 more, rolled it again, and put 2 MORE... and I ate all that like it was a burrito.... And then my mouth had something to say about THAT! Hahahaaaaa! Juan had to laugh at the faces I made! It was GOOOOD chiles though, I loved it! But the heat built up and GOT me and I waved my hands puffing trying not to cry! I finally got it calmed down some nibbling my burrito, and was able to finish eating ok. Juan firmly put the lid on the chiles and announced I'd been cut off! ^-^

Juan helped me set up to play Outlaw Golf where I'm trying to build up my character with points if I win a game, but I lost the 18 hole tournament, coming in 4th place, when I needed to come in 3rd to make points to distribute on my character. I got some pars and I think birdie though. Then I tried one of the 9 hole one on one games and ended up playing against some sleazy Dr. guy, that was funny! I actually made mostly birdies playing that time, with everything else being par! Whooohooo! I think that means I'm getting better! ^-^ I'm excited when I get better at ANYTHING I'm playing like that....

We're winding down for the night and I've actually made sure my water bottle is full and brushed my teeth already. I'll be stubborn enough to make a habit of this yet! Juan trimmed his beard and shaved! Yay! And I put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher and cleaned up the sink, and picked up around the living room so the only thing out of place here now is the 4 empty boxes the cats are playing in, and my gamecube is out since I've been playing it and plan to play it tomorrow when I wake up. I need to put away the pots and pans from the drainage rack so I can wash the ONE pan that's dirty, but I don't trust myself right now for picking up heavy stuff and bending down with it, I figure it's safer to do that when I have more coordination, haha! :-P

Aaaaagh! Looks like WorldSims is DOWN today! >-< And Cynosure too!!! O-o That made me paranoid and start checking some of the other community sites I'm a member of, but other sites are still there! I finally logged into ACC again today, it had been so long I forgot my password and used the wrong one first, haha! When I got there I read the announcements... and discovered that Nintendo is supposed to be coming out with a new hand held in the Fall... erk! And I JUST got my Gameboy Advance SP! Figures!! :-P Here's the article. It has two screens, DS is apparantly for Dual Screen, and the lower one is a touch screen to be used with your finger or stylus. O-o Now I'm afraid to find out how much I'll need to save up for it! Maybe if I start saving now... sometime next year or so... but that's all uncertain with us moving and not knowing what Juan's job(s) are going to be like. >-<

I managed to actually make it through my newly written down bedtime routine last night, and all through my morning routine this morning, yay! Juan laughed with me last night as I was starting to CRASH but kept stubbornly going through my routine... filled my water bottle even though I lost my grip and spilled half of it in the sink.... Then I brushed my teech, and Juan joined in to support me and brushed his teeth too, haha! ^-^ I found my pain pills and sinus medicine, and got that to the bedroom as well. Then this morning I did the bed, face, eyes, and once I could SEE I went back to sweep the floor, swish and swipe the toilet, and wipe down the sink and counter. I DID it! ^-^ I've just got to remember to come back to the toilet area once I can SEE. :-P

Celleigh and Moonwolf are coming over to visit!! It's been FOREVER since we've seen each other, I can't wait to see her new hair! ^-^ Maybe we'll do some Animal Crossing and I'll try out my connection cable, or maybe we'll just visit and get all caught up. Maybe she'll try out my wacom tablet and draw something! ^-^ We'll see!

Oh yeah... I remembered what prompted me to want to post again just now in the first place!! haha! :-P I finally deliberated and agonized over it and decided to use the Lab Ray on my neopet again... and it LOST two levels! O-o Now that means I have to use SIX codestones to train it back TWICE to regain those levels... arrrgh! And roughly around 5,000 np per codestone... more or less, as some are a bit more and a couple are cheaper. So I just made a 30,000 np mistake there! Ak!! @-@ So much for any of my game earnings this week.... O-o

I've been playing a lot more on neopets lately, playing mostly kacheek seek, destruct-o-match, and pyramids till I'm maxed out on neopoints for the day. I can't really play any of the action games.... And I discovered I can't play Neggsweeper using Firefox for my browser because when I try to flag neggs where there's a bomb, it explodes instead of flagging it! O-o I keep thinking about trying to revive my anime guild or joining an anime related guild in my other account so I'll have more people to talk about anime with. I dropped by the neopets chat yesterday and had to laugh at a player claiming "I make fonts! I will be your guild font-maker!" and when I asked what program they used to MAKE a font, they said, "nothing, I don't use a program, I do it myself!" After a bit, I figured out they meant they were writing the board code (neocode) to make the font in posts appear different colors etc. :-P A far cry from MAKING a font!! hahahaha! ...and here I'd been curious as I actually WANT to make a couple of fonts I've had in mind! ^-^ One based on my handwriting version of the hand lettered text in ElfQuest when the preservers talk, and one with silhouettes of cats around each capital letter and possibly paw prints around each lower case. I know with all the TONS of fonts out there someone else has made similar, but I want to learn how and my "do it yourself" obsession kicks off my creative drive, haha.

I have too many projects simmering on the back burner right now, I've been wanting to get one of those programs that randomly changes your desktop theme because I wanted to cycle through a few anime themes, or a few Sims 2 themes, or a few of my own created themes for a while. And I've been wanting to make a Fly Baby desktop theme and screensaver to help me with reminders and stuff, I thought it would be cute. ^-^ And now that I've got the apartment to myself again, (yay Yusuke moved into his own place this morning!) I need to get back to Moonlight Gardens and catch up and resume participation in the graphics fun there. I've stayed pretty well caught up with WorldSims, but lagged behind a bit at Cynosure since there's usually not much activity there and I keep forgetting to check.

I'm defrosting the leftover stir fry and lo mein I made last week or so, and put the egg rolls in a pan in the freezer to be ready to just pop in the oven about 10 minutes before Juan gets home. THIS time I remembered to check the oven temperature before turning it on, haha! I usually have it set for 350 since that's the most commonly used setting for most baking. I'm being good and not calling Juan at work to have him bring home Taco Bell food for dinner, I'm craving their new potato burritos I tried the other day when we went. :-P Maybe sometime when we're running errands and can afford a splurge. Right now we've got a freezer full of leftover jambalaya and chili and herbed chicken breasts and pasta... we could PROBABLY get away without cooking anything NEW for the rest of the week! And I've finally got all my ingredients for chicken curry too. ^-^

I'm thinking of setting the table with flowers and decorations for dinner tonight, and I'm laughing at myself for wondering if irises "go" with Chinese food. ^-^ I'm also wondering if we'll watch a movie after dinner or maybe play more Outlaw Golf... or if Juan will be so tired he'll want to sleep early? At any rate it'll be wonderful to know if he sleeps while I stay up, I can stay up all night in the LIVING ROOM again, hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..... ~-^ Maybe I'll stay up all night and get caught up on Animal Crossing. I felt sad because I got an email alert from one of the threads I was watching at the Animal Crossing Community site and when I got there it was the thread about using our own AC sprites of our characters to make a comic strip... and only ONE person posted after I submitted my little character graphics, and then a mod posted after them to say don't post in threads over 30 days old! O-o I guess that project never got off the ground, waaaah! >-< It makes me want to do SOMETHING with that myself... like add it to my long long list of things I'm "working on" right now.... :-P
