I didn't realize that I hadn't taken all the urls to my old graphice out of my template, thought I had... but apparantly iVillage moved my old website to Tripod even though by the time I had discovered iVillage shut down the webpage service the auto move to tripod looked like it didn't work when I tried it. This means I have my old ivillage website somewhere on tripod but don't know where/how to log onto it. O-o And since tripod doesn't allow offsite images to show that doesn't help me much for my blog.

Yesterday Juan and I went to lunch with Monkeyboy and Candy and then after a little shopping with them at wally-world to get Monkeyboy some new shirts and to kill a little time, we went to see Kung Fu Hustle. Two little white haired old ladies were the only other people who walked in to seat early with us and they laughed and said they knew they seemed to be in the wrong theater but this was the only movie rated 4 stars so they decided to give it a try. ^-^ It was a great movie. ^-^ After that we visited some and then they went off to face traffic and Juan and I schemed dinner menus for the grocery shopping for the week and we went to Skylles' and Branch's apartment to do laundry and cook dinner there and Kyp was there so I stayed with Skylles and Kyp and we got to hang out and visit while Juan and Branch went grocery shopping, and then I made tortilla soup for dinner when they got back, and Skylles made a really yummy salad with bleu cheese crumbles in it. ^-^ Juan and Branch made a beer run when we finished off the beer they'd brought with the groceries the first trip, and Kyp picked up Matt from work and brought him back for dinner and they brought the Gamecube Monopoly game for everyone to play in party mode together. Juan and I just watched since it was already past his bedtime, and then we came home to bed. ^-^ A very good and VERY busy day!

The one thing I'm sad about today is that yesterday I asked if my computer was put together enough to work to play FF today... and Juan said yes. The power supply is pulled out so he could look at it but it's still connected with the wires. I should have had him turn on he computer and check it and show me it works... because now I've tried turning it on and it DOES NOT WORK. ; ;

Well THAT was a shock... looks like after all these years iVillage has stopped their member webpages section entirely! I am graphics-less! Yeep! O-o So I changed my template just enough to have a background color and take out my broken images... sigh... now I need to find a new graphics hosting home on the web.... ; ;

Well THIS has gone neglected for FAR too long! O-o We moved! We're alive! I got sick! :-P I got better!! I got sick AGAIN! :-P All in all my health is doing MUCH better here than our old town. I'm also getting out of the house more, and getting a lot more excerise in general just walking around and unpacking and DOING things. Running around with a 3 year old is a workout! ^-^

Juan officially started his Training as an actual employee where he's been working as a Temp through a Temp agency all this time, and that came with a pay raise and someday we will actually get BENEFITS which are sorely needed! That's exciting! But I'm worried about his wearing out his body, especially his knee, as it's hard labor. >-< None of his manager/assistant manager applications have panned out anywhere which has been pretty discouraging. But with the pay raise at least it looks like we'll finally be scraping by on his actual income and not having to dip into savings to cover bills and groceries anymore. ^-^ Which is good since the savings are pretty much used up! O-o

I used my Birthday money from my grandmother to buy Sims 2 University, Yay!!! But it won't really work on my computer.... noooooooooooooooo..... >-< It takes a long time to load up lots etc... I was expecting that. I wasn't expecting it to freeze up for FIVE to Seven real life actual by the clock minutes in the middle of gameplay as the sims clock stays on the same minute and the sims don't move at all and the sims radio music in the background is the ONLY thing running at normal speed.... O-o. Sarah got it too and for her it is slow loading time but I haven't seen it freeze up like it does with mine. Juan says we'll try to figure out what's wrong and what we might need to do to the computer to make it work... someday. ^-^

Yesterday Juan and I met Branch and Marcus in the park and Branch was swimming in the river! Juan and I brought our basketball but the hoop there was crowded and busy, no chance for us, so I ended up taking off my sandals and rolling up my pants to dangle my feet in the river. And then Branch said he had three towels... and I ended up in the river FULLY CLOTHED! Wet jeans are HEAVY to try to swim in! O-o I had a great time though! Some younger teen boys were running around draped with clumps of the river weeds so I commented on it being sea monster season. ^-^ Juan didn't get any pictures of them though. ; ;

Last night I was really sore from all the hauling myself out of the river, climbing up onto the cement steps most of the time, and ONE time I even climbed out on the OTHER side of the river using the same Ladder I had SUCH a time with last time I came up to visit and we all went swimming in that river. Last time I thought I would DIE trying to clamber out... this time it was a HUGE surprise at how much easier it was! It was great to realize how much Stronger I've gotten since then and I didn't really notice till just then! ^-^ My muscles still ache today though. :-P

I just found AMZ again! A blast from the past!! ^-^ I found that I didn't exist there anymore... not really a HUGE surprise as all my old bookmarks were dead and I thought the entire SITE was gone forever! I tried to sign up as moonshadowalker, my old account name there, since when I tried to log it it said no such user exists... and it told me my name was now too long! O-o hahahaha! ^-^ So I made a new account as Moonshadow76 and I hope to find a few of the old friends I used to have there. I'll have to go find all the old graphics I made and see if I can use any of them still.

I took a quiz someone else had in their journal there, that's one of the features they've added since I was gone!!

I'm still sick, ugh. >-< I feel bad that I haven't gotten to play Final Fantasy in over a week, and I haven't set foot outside the house since last Monday night.... I got up last night in the middle of the night since I couldn't sleep and I ended up catching up on my Flylady emails and unpacking five of the boxes here in the computer room and putting up another couple that are meant to stay packed for now, my poetry and writings box, and a box of board games. That leaves one box of books and one box of living room decorations, and then a couple of boxes in front of the filing cabinet that have who knows what in them. I'm glad to have my computer desk stuff mostly unpacked and put away though. ^-^ The cats, of course, tried to help me... and climbed all around in the closet inspecting as I went, also jumped in boxes while I was unpacking them!! I has to toss Cutter out of a box I was working on THREE TIMES! As I worked I noticed that the old smoke stench of the old apartment is still in some of our stuff, I need to get the lysol disinfectant and see if I can work on that, it might be part of what's making my cold linger. O-o

I hope Juan can help me get the little bookshelves that got water damaged set up in the bedroom where I want them so I can unpack this last box of textbooks into that. Then we really REALLY need to find our hammer and nails so we can put up my spice rack and pictures and things like that, it's driving me nuts having them down! If we can't find them we need to borrow hammer and nails! We also need to borrow Skylles' vacum cleaner as ours is still back with his parents, or maybe even still in the trunk of LunaCorn's car! O-o And we really REALLY need to get the mail holder up on the wall and start using it, I don't like mail being in various new places where the cats can scatter and lose it. I guess we've hit that point after a move where all the basics have been set up for a while, but now the details need to be worked out or they never will be. Like where to put the cd player, it's on the living room floor right now and that's NOT where I want it to be... I'm not sure whether we want it in the computer room/library or the bedroom though.

I seem to still be at a block in my various graphics projects, can't seem to get started in on the furniture recolors I was planning for sims 2, or the layout for my blog here, or my neopets user lookup.... sigh.... I've been having weird/disturbing dreams lately too and not getting restful sleep though it seems like I've been sleeping a ton when insomnia finally lets me. >-<

Well it's been a while, I've been sick, ugh. >-< I still am, actually, coughing up gunk and sounding like a dying giraffe.... It's been a rough week, Skylles' grandfather died and I feel bad I haven't been with her much, the viewing was Wednesday but I was already sick then. I haven't heard how things went, whether they got to scatter the ashes as they'd wanted to or not.

I've been mostly compulsively playing Sims 2, I made recolors of bedding, drapes, walls, floors, a dresser, chairs, a headboard that didn't show up so I'll have to pick a different one to modify, and a small fancy table I wanted to use as a sort of vanity. I made a new little neighborhood so it would load faster and only made two families of one sim each, Test and Sampler for the last names. Then I went and made them marry to see what the kid would look like and I got sucked into gameplay and distracted from my recolors.... I got each of the parents to the top of their careers and got the golf putting and chocolate factory career rewards so now they play golf for fun and the guy spends all day his day off making chocolates like mad. ^-^ The wife gets picked up and dropped off from work in a helicopter! The husband was getting picked up in a limo, he's a Chef and looks like he's the Iron Chef type in his dragon embroidered work clothes! Then he shared pick up for work time with the teenage son so he rides the junky starter car with him, awwww.

Juan asked me if I'm ever going to play Final Fantasy again! O-o He's worried about me being so dazed and unfocused I think, and he misses me when I get all into my games but I think he's noticed that when I stop playing so much in the games like neopets and final fantasy where I SOCIALIZE with other players, it's usually because I'm not feeling up to it, not focused enough, or feeling bummed out. That's usually when I drop out of my online social life too. >-< I know that's been scattered lately but at least I have tried to be around in my online life a little more. I'll probably log into yahoo and then cynosure to check up on friends and touch bases next. I keep meaning to resize and upload pics to show my friends of the move and everything! I think I've felt bad I wasn't getting around to that, so I should just get over that and realize I'll probably do it much later, if at all, and I should just show up and visit without that hanging over me.

Well here I an actually trying to keep up with this a little. ^-^

Yesterday Juan had the day off and we got a late start to the day and then went over to Skylles and Branch's place to see if they wanted to come with and and guide a little as we explored the town some more mainly to get an idea of where all the places to EAT and pick up food late are. We wanted to find some taquerias! ^-^ Skylles went to the movies with her sister and Branch and Marcus took me and Juan out driving around and finding all the food places. Poor Marcus was tired and threw fits and didn't want to let us leave the apartment, then didn't want us to go down the stairs... he finally passed out in the car once we got going. We stopped at a coffee shop and Juan and I ran in and got coffee while Branch stayed out by the car so we didn't wake Marcus for that. Then we went to a little Mexican market that has a taquiria (spelling?!) in it but that part was shut down so we got Marcus chocolate milk and headed elswhere in our quest for very very cheap food or a place that took checks. ^-^ I only had six dollars cash and Juan spent his five dollars on the coffee! O-o We went by a buffet Branch thought took checks but they had a sign that they didn't. We ended up at Cici's pizza starving, and they took checks, so we ate there.

When we got back to their apartment we were getting out of the car and Skylles and her sister drove up back from seeing Lemony Snicket! Perfect timing! ^-^ Her sister left and Juan and Branch went back to our apartment to bring us back soda and to play a little NBA street Juan borrowed since HIS copy is at MY parents house due to a series of unfortunate events! heehee!! ^-^ Skylles cooked a nice roast of marinated pork loin and tortalini that was done first so she served that first. Juan was still stuffed but I tried some. When the pork was done it was VERY tender! Skylles and I got to do a lot of sims playing while Marcus played Windwaker all by himself and got remarkably far with no supervision! O-o Juan and Branch came back and after hanging out a while Juan had to go home to sleep but I stayed and Skylles and I played sims 2 till about 6am and she drove me home in the freezing cold....

One sad thing that happened was my laptop died... we were finally installing sims 2 on it and then it gave an error message that some .dll file was missing but then Juan clicked something and it continued installing. Next thing I know the computer is giving a message about losing all the data on the hard drive... then they start it again and it won't recognize the hard drive existed... operating system not found... not good!! O-o I'm glad it didn't have any stuff on it I couldn't replace, but that was sad to lose all the data and programs I HAD installed on it so far! >-< We'll have to deal with Sears again and the warrantee is good through March... so looks like we're calling them with our new address and everything sometime today and getting that infamous computer shipping box shipped HERE! O-o Last time they said if things went terribly wrong again they would just replace the whole entire thing, so I hope they DO! I need to see if I can find the files and notes of who we talked to last time that promised that.... I think it's in the top drawer of the file cabinet....

So today we deal with that, and do grocery shopping, and maybe get a clear plastic shower liner to cope with the fact that you can't change or control the water pressure in the shower at ALL and it sprays right THROUGH the curtain! It worked fine at the old place where we didn't have it trying to shoot water physically THROUGH your skin like needles! O-o I'd love to get a new shower head with a filter and so it's adjustable with the pressure but that'll have to wait till Juan's employment gets all worked out to cover the bills completely. He's still looking for a second part time AND a better job that could be full time. Right now he's sticking it out for the weeks he's assigned a warehouse job through the temp agency he's got working with him.

I'm still not all caught up with my online life like I'd like to be. Maybe tomorrow while Juan's working again I'll "reserve" time for me to visit all my preferred internet hang outs and visit with friends I've been missing. Maybe I'll even get a new layout and graphics worked out for my blog here... I finally remembered to bring home the sims 2 game so I got the update/patch from the sims 2 site installed, yay! Now I can rest easy that a visiting sim can't pick up my baby and kidnap it! O-o I was really freaked out when I heard that was a problem happening in the game! Yeek!! I'll probably work obsessively on recoloring objects/furniture for the game too so I can have my sims in decor I like. ^-^ I might set Final Fantasy on the back burner or stay up all night playing again.... I have a lot of catching up to do in that game, with all the missions and rank stuff I just didn't really know much about. I'm finally getting to expand the number of items I can store in my mog house and want to do the quest to get more stuff I can carry around with me too! Those are my priority, haha! ^-^

Hey hey internet I'm back! ^-^ I'm FINALLY getting around to my poor neglected blog and other online life stuff after the whole upheval of the BIG MOVE! Yes, we moved from southeast Texas to a less humid area, and we're now closer to Austin instead of Houston. We've got internet again, and we've had it for a while but we finally got my computer set up in the computer room where I can dig in and get comfy instead of the first attempt at setting it up in the living room where the cold from the sliding glass door was a bit too much for me.

I've managed to snag a bit of online time for neopets and final fantasy but didn't really get into my online SOCIAL life much till now! O-o I've kidnapped today's schedule and shoved it all on the back burner to do a little catching up! ^-^ The boxes will have to SIT here behind me and wait their turn! I'm still in my jammies and I'm NOT answering the door for the neighbors who are borrowing our phone! Viva la revolution!!!

I discovered recently that the creative Sims playing community have come up with a player created program for recoloring and modifying the Objects for Sims 2, and the official Sims 2 site has come out with a program for recoloring walls, floors, and ground cover, so whooohoooo! My friend and I went nuts with that for a couple of days and I'm afraid that's been part of the distraction keeping me from my online life... *blush!*

My birthday this year was good! I got to try my very first Ice Cream Cake and it was YUMMY! I also go to go to lunch with hubby and our old neighbor Celeste who used to live next door to us when we were getting married and she helped me a TON shopping and making decorations and getting ready for the wedding so we had a lot of fun catching up to do after not seeing her for a couple of years! We ate Thai food and walked in the park. ^-^ I made the menu for this weeks groceries and got stuff to make a crawfish version of the shrimp dish I ordered that day so now Juan can get to try it. I hope it works out well!

Juan has a job working in a warehouse and he HATES driving the loader! >-< He's had bad dreams about driving it, feeling like he's floating, and in real life he hates how he's not really sure where the edges of it are so he's always paranoid he'll clip a corner or something so his time for the timed trips are waaay too long and he's upset about that. Hopefully the temp agency he got this through can find him another temp job for next week!! O-o He's also applied at a lot of online sites taking applications for stuff in the area like Hastings and shops at a couple of the bigger malls. I really REALLY hope he gets a better temp job or a good job he can stick with soon, the stress is pretty bad! O-o We're both pretty nervous about having to live off our savings money for groceries and bills while he finds a regular job. I'm finding myself looking forward to the tax return this year not necesarily for the possibilities of getting a better car or a washer and dryer but to stretch out our savings for him to have time to get a really GOOD job!

Other than the getting settled in and survival stress I'm having a really good time here, LOVING that we're living in the same apartment complex with one of my BEST friends and her hubby and their 3 year old who's my Godson! He's getting to come over and visit at our home and getting used to the idea of a place where he's welcome and safe, but he can't run completely wild and explore freely or throw stuff, sort of a place in between behaving at home and behaving out at a restaraunt or store. This is a new learning experience for ALL of us! ^-^ He loves the skating spraypaint game that came with Juan's X-Box and he and his daddy are MUCH better at that game than Juan and I are! Skylles and I are having fun cooking for each other and having each other over for dinner or lunch and visiting at one place or the other and getting to work on sims projects together again. She got me into Sims in the first place, and now I'm getting to show her Sims 2 so we've come full circle again! ^-^

I showed my parents a webcam tour of the living/dining and kitchen areas of the apartment when the computer was in the living room soon after we got internet, but I haven't had much contact with them since then. We still need to get a few boxes of stuff that we had to store there because they didn't fit in the U-Haul. What didn't fit was first stored at Juan's parents place but when he went to get most of it he moved the few extra boxes that didn't fit in the car to my parents where it would be inside and safe from the weather. A few things got water damage in the U-Haul and we took pictures with the digital camera and Juan showed them to the U-Haul place so they promised to fix the truck before renting it out again but all they could do for compensation was to give us free storage so I hope Juan got the vouchers for that somewhere.

Ember is doing amazingly well considering she was dying of Kidney Failure and has Feline Diabetes now! O-o She's started acting like a kitten again, chasing her tail and being all frisky! She's regained a little weight and is once again the Warrior Princess of the Castle, partly due to her energy and partly because she's just plain braver and loved on everything to claim is as HERS while the two boy cats cowered in hiding the first couple of weeks, hahahaha!

I'm working on a new set of very simple graphics and might change the layout too if I have time, I just want a change but I haven't really got a plan. Hopefully I'll have that up soon. All for now, and hopefully more within the week!

I've been sick, busy, bleagh, or otherwise away from most of my online life other than a mindless zoning neopets addiction when I managed to drag myself out of bed. >-<

Finally checked email today to find nearly 2,000 spam messages and one of the few actual emails from friends triggered this quiz as that's what they sent me. ^-^

Ember is dying of Kidney Failure and Feline Diabetes. >-< She's lost two pounds and is mostly fluff, she only LOOKS a bit thinner but when you REALLY look to notice she's got two inches of fur fluffed out.... it's sad. >-< We're feeding her special food from the vet but she's not eating much. He gave us feeding syringes to feed her with by force and I'm afraid it's come to that. She was at the vet for several days when we took her there, they kept her to run tests for feline lukemia and feline aids, and then they had to keep her for shots of anitbiotics and injections to rehydrate her, but they had to sedate her to draw blood because she fought them and wouldn't let them. She was grooming herself again for a while but that's getting worse again. >-<

The night before thanksgiving our downstairs neighbors had a huge fight at 1am and someone called the police. Then at three am we woke up to them screaming and throwing each other into walls again, so WE called the police. Someone showed up to knock on the neighbor's door and tried to calm them down and there was a woman yelling, "get him off me, get him OFF me" so we thought the police were there to break it up... but it turned out to be friends of theirs or something instead because the police knocked on OUR door and we had to send them down to the right apartment. Apparantly they couldn't tell which apartment the yelling was coming from. >-<

Our other downstairs neighbor died and the truck from the morgue, and police, and his mourning family were out in the rain one night, sometime right before thanksgiving too, it was sad. >-<

I've been pretty sick off and on, at least the smoke seems to have stopped coming through the walls for a while and I stopped taking the new medicine that was interfering with my depression medicine and messing me up. I have a stye in my left eye now though, it swelled up today and I don't know why, it seems irritated by my contact. >-< We're supposed to go out of town this weekend, I didn't make it out of the house last weekend, and I missed several friends' birthday parties and didn't get to get together with friends as planned during this week. I'm just not doing too well. I hope things get better soon and I feel better. ^-^

Just finished the fifth Harry Potter book today, read most of it all night last night... I just now finally deleted my Neopets AnimePetlovers Guild that I founded in 2001... somehow hard to let it go even though it's been inactive for so long... and sad to see it with the graphics I worked so hard on now blocked since they apparantly don't allow ivillage hosted images to work on Neopets.... >-<

Yesterday we voted, and ate at Quiznos but they got the contents/condiments for my sandwich wrong so that was a disappointment... then to wal-mart to pick up my new replacement glasses with the corrected prescription and this time they fitted them to my face so they don't fall off every time I look down. Then to Target, where I think we hadn't been since I shopped for Juan's birthday in June, and wow... it was different.... I finally got much needed underwear this year and a pair of earrings I love, which reminds me I need to pay back into the grocery budget for them. We got home to find our phone had died completely, I knew it was getting bad with the answering machine all muffled and difficult to interpret but the phone itself insisted it was permanantly "in use" and wouldn't let us make or recieve calls. We went to Juan's work and called our house from there to make sure, and it was giving a busy signal. We called my parents and Juan's mother at the restaraunt to let everyone know what was happening, but he couldn't get through at the restaraunt, so we went there in person and ended up having dinner there and getting to visit with Angel and Juan's mother. I learned that several of the words I've been using for things like "hair" and "ears," words that Juan taught me for them... are actually only proper to use on ANIMALS and the words are different when refering to HUMANS! Yeeep! O-o So I have a lot of UNLEARNING to do! @-@ We walked over the rental movies his mother had and turned them in at the new Blockbusters that's just next to the restaraunt, and then we went to Best Buy for a new telephone/answering machine. I kind of had a bit of a over-reaction to a notice posted in the phone aisle... "On our states Motorola (the model number was here in parenthesis but I don't remember that part like I do the rest...) come with two handset. It only come with one handset." Between the horrible mutilation of the English language there, and the telephone set nearby with a button labeled "answerer" I kind of freaked out. I actually babbled complaints to the poor clerks who came to try to help us... but no one seemed concerned about correcting or taking down the horrible sign.... >-< We ended up finding another phone for the same price that did NOT have a button labeled "answerer" so I calmed down. Poor Juan had to endure rants about raising our children to use a telephone with a button that said "answerer" on it....

tired...bummed out... scattered... I keep trying to get here and post stuff but I'm not doing so well. haven't played Sims 2 or FF online... haven't checked email or done my usual round of online friends and sites.... dyed my green streaks in my hair again.... went to an early Halloween party as a Kitty Faerie... got my fancy candle stand and candle in from Kari.... been watching Black Books with Juan.... I've been sitting here in a daze mostly, switching the tv to various comfort programs but not really paying attention... mostly been numbly playing on neopets all day... at least I'm making points at the games....

Thursday, October 07, 2004

Well I went to the eye dr Tuesday, and finally think we are bound to make some progress. Now that they've done everything wrong with my contacts, I got them to LISTEN this time when I explained, AGAIN... that my current contacts that more or less fit on my eye so my pupil is covered by the corrective lens ARE INDEED LARGER in diameter than standard!! I told them this at the first visit... and the second... and the third... so finally on the FOURTH visit... they listened... and checked the records... and how about that! I'm right! O-o So the new contacts are an attempt to get the FIT correct only... and then I'll most likely be due for yet another appointment to get the prescription right, if the fit works out. I hope it does!!! Also, since I couldn't see out of my glasses which were made using the FIRST incorrect prescription... they worked with heavy painful old fashioned instruments of torture to manually change out heavy glass lenses layered in huge metal frames... sort of a scary looking contraption! Plus, every time he had to push one of the lenses to get it fitted in it HURT as he was pressing it into my face without regard for the pressure! O-o So I was glad when THAT was over! Also very glad modern glasses are much lighter than that! It seemed to weigh about the same as a two liter... on my FACE! Then we went to Wal-Mart, ad that was where I had my glasses made from the old prescription... and the lady there was wonderful to let us trade in the credit from the old glasses for the new prescription to be filled, even though it was past the 30 day limit of their policy!! ^-^ Plus, she let me KEEP the old glasses till the new ones come in!!! Amazing!! We just have to be sure to bring them in to trade for the new ones.

Juan and I have mostly more or less gotten over the sore throats and near colds we seemed to have come down with this past weekend, which kept us from making it to the Tailgate Party. >-< I feel bad we didn't get to make it to that, didn't get to see Craig, and didn't get to do something social like that with Juan's younger brother who is stand-offish of me. >-<

Tuesday after all the eye care errands we went by the restaraunt and had dinner there, and got lucky and Rick and Mary and our nephews came in for dinner too!! This Sunday is a birthday party for the oldest Nephew, I think he'll be 11! Time flies!! O-o I'm wondering if we can juggle the budget any to get him something Yu-gi-oh! or otherwise Anime related.... ^-^

I got to play Final Fantasy twice this week, which is great since for a while there it was once a week at the most, what with everything else going on! ^-^ I'm working on my first sub-job, so now I'm a Warrior for my main job and Thief is the secondary, and is only set at 1/2 the level of what I've made it to as a Warrior... it's a little confusing for me, but I've made it to level 10 as a Warrior so up to level 5 of my Thief skills are available to me... I think. ^-^ I had quite a time getting to level 10 and then NOT GETTING KILLED and losing the level! I went back down to level 9 three or four times!!! O-o So I'm happy to be about halfway to level 11 now. I headed for the Dunes to start leveling in a party again... and was invited into a party... but the other party member who let me follow him got me KILLED in the Dunes before we got to the rest of the members! >-< I was a good shield for him though, he survived and got away!! So the leader of the party came and stood by my prone body lying senseless in the sand... and he offered anyone money to Raise me... but for a while it looked like no one was around with that skill. Then two Tarutarus showed up, Mowiezowie and Tausa... and suddenly my party leader was being attacked by a gob and HE died too!! O-o The tarutarus survived and raised BOTH of us... they were leading us to find me a place nearby to set my home point... when another party member and I got killed AGAIN! So... they raised us again... led us some more... and I got ANOTHER goblin's interest... so dead again... sigh. So they raised AGAIN... and at that point I'm not sure if I died one more time, just for the fun of it... but after that they started casting TONS of stuff on both me and the other party member who was sticking with me... they even cast Sneak and Invisible on us trying to save us from those pesky goblins and then we RAN like the wind... and stuff tried to attack us as the spells wore off but Tausa attacked the goblins first that time while we ran!! I was NEVER so happy to make it to a home point and get it set!! Juan was laughing with me hysterically as I kept dying on the run, it was ridiculous!!! ^-^ What's funny but sad was, once I set my home point, my original party was scattered, and the other party member found a new party with a couple of the old members, so we said our goodbyes and I went to look for the rest of the party, but they'd filled up with new members too. Then the game server gave a message that it was all about to have an emergency shut down so we all had to log out anyway!

I'm awake WAY too early this morning, I've only had about 4 hours sleep but I can't fall back asleep even lying there almost an hour, so I'm thinking after finally blogging all this I'll read a while and see if I end up staying up all day, or taking a nap. Hopefully I can get a nap in and be up for getting to visit with Celleigh this afternoon, we were trying to get together for a day of Sims Bustin Out so I can see what that's like. She got in on her gameboy and since I have the adapter to play gameboy games on the tv, we can both see what's going on. ^-^ If I like it enough I might try to save up and get it, but I'm also curious as to whether I might like the new Urbz game that's coming out soon for gameboy too.

I just seem to be having a bit of a rough week even though my pain is much better. >-< I got my new contacts, and they STILL do not fit on my eyeball correctly, and I'm STILL seeing horrible blurrs where the corrective part of the lens is not covering my pupil. Now the new ones have a sort of ring of useless clear non corrective plastic around the actual corrective lens area... and the blurring from that is even worse than the first attempt. Why can't they just take the measurments from my OLD contacts I'm wearing?!?! They fit over my eye to cover the pupil!!! Anyway, I've been pretty distressed about that. >-< Also Ember seems to be sick. I woke up to step in both kitty vomit in the hallway outside the bedroom door, and then a stray "present" in the bathroom where it had missed the litterbox. This made me more annoyed that my glasses don't fit on my face so I can't wear them to see these little surprises all over the hallway and bathroom carpet in the mornings. Poor Ember threw up hairballs and then more thin watery vomit in about 9 other locations, including the dining table where I found her when I fed the cats when I woke up about 2pm. I knew something was REALLY wrong when she wouldn't come to the food dish to eat!! O-o So when Juan got off work early and we went to pick up cat food I picked up some of the wet packet cat food so she can get rehydrated some. We went to Wal-Mart to pick up a couple of household things... like carpet cleaner... and then had dinner at The Restaraunt (Juan's mother's restaraunt) and got to visit with LunaCorn and Yusuke and Angel there... and then we helped them close up and went back to Juan's mother's house to watch Man On Fire with them. We had adventures getting all the settings right on the DVD and VCR and TV... turns out the way it was set up was fine, it was just a loose connection in the back of the DVD player! O-o

We gave Yusuke a ride home and now we're home and have fed the cats... we let Ember stay alone in the bedroom while we were out, and fed her the soft food in there... and my plan is to give her a little time after eating before we let her out for the other cats to harrass... sigh....

I'm really worn out and not sure why I'm so exhausted all the time lately. >-< Tonight at the restaraunt I couldn't remember the word for "taco" and was trying to explain what I wanted to eat... "those things with the meat in them, with the foldy.... tortilla...." O-o

I've spent most of the day in pain, but having fun catching up at WorldSims and peeking in at Cynosure in the morning. ^-^ I read This review of Sims 2 with Juan and laughed and laughed.... He's been mostly watching football all day... I think we really needed this whole day of nothing urgent to just hang out and recover from life.

Oh yeah... I meant to post... I somehow managed to delete half my graphics/files off my website when I refreshed the window after deleting what I MEANT to delete... so my blog here was barren of graphics for a while! Yeep! O-o I need to remember what folders I had so I can figure what ELSE is missing WHICH graphics, and upload them all again. >-< But it was time to let go of some stuff I wasn't currently using... this just makes me scramble to put back what I AM using... Next time hopefully I won't get down to just 37k space AVAILABLE before I realize it's time to "clean house" in my webspace!

Well that was fun! ^-^ Friday was the Cynosure Annual Dinner and for the first time, I got to go! It was held at Juan's mother's restaraunt, so LunaCorn was there working, but she got to visit with us a little and take pictures with us. Nighthawk picked me up so I could get to come, as Juan was at work, and then after the dinner about half of everyone came back to our apartment to visit, so Juan got to see them when he got home from work. ^-^ I'm REALLY glad I got to make it to the dinner, I've had so much pain latly. >-< It's not so much that it's THAT painful most of the time, it's the constancy, that it keeps going and going and going... that's wearing me out. Mostly it's terrible in the mornings, and at night after I lie down... so I find myself wanting to stay up later than I'm able, trying to grab my moments without pain, trying to delay it coming again by not lying down.

Anyway, back to brighter things! ^-^ Yesterday I made my first attempt at making a skin option for hyperboards, as that's where Cynosure is, and though I don't know how they'll get the banner graphics to show up with it if they ever use it for default, it's working ok at the sort of experimental test forum WillyStoner set up. ^-^ I can't wait to log in today and see what everyone thinks of it....

I played Sims 2 yesterday as I wasn't feeling coherent enough to play Final Fantasy... but I had fun anyway. I managed to get my sim family through the wife's pregnancy, and then she had TWINS! O-o A boy and a girl, so I named the girl EmmaLeigh after the mother, Emma, and the boy Micah, after the father, Michael. It's a bit much to be juggling twins for my first time playing through this part of the game! O-o I've got some great family album pictures though, the mother passed out in the bed, the babies passed out in the cribs, dirty diapers and discarded bottles all over the floor, the toilet clogged, the shower broken with water shooting out of the pipes, and puddled collecting all over the bathroom floor as they sleep. Aaah, what domestic bliss babies bring! ~-^ What's odd is the game gave me a pop up announcement that the mother would get 3 more days off to take care of the infants... but then it announced her carpool was arriving in an hour! O-o Uh oh! I had her call in sick to work to get the day off on the third day the babies were infants... it was the father who somehow mysteriously had the first two days of infancy off of work so HE stayed home to take care of them at first. I felt so bad... I didn't give the babies a bath in the sink the first 2 days because I didn't realize it was an option! O-o Poor babies! I hope this doesn't make them messy slobs or anything... I know what happens to the kids influences their wants and fears and personalities as teens and adults, so I guess I'll see what happens. Both parents are known to splatter food all over while eating though, so they're not exactly neat freaks and I can blame it all on heredity... yeah.... ^-^

Not sure what we're going to be doing today, as we were supposed to go out of town but I'm in too much pain. >-< Grrrr.... I'd like to BITE my pain... grrrr..... >-<

Yay! I got to play Final Fantasy most of the day yesterday! ^-^ I told myself I wasn't answering the phone or door, I wasn't going to get sidetracked with other projects or emails or online web stuff... I got up, cleaned the house some, fed the kitties, and logged in! I played all day and when Juan got home from work he was so sweet and supportive, HE made spaghetti dinner (well, pasta actually, since we used ziti instead of spaghetti), and I made my way from level 15 thief to level 19 before I logged out for bed. ^-^ I got to run around with Branch and Skylles and their friend Mikomido getting some quest stuff done, and that was a blast! My friend Airflare was in the game and we talked some, though we didn't get to run around together and "see" each other in the game. I met a lot of cool new people I hope to see again next time I get to run around leveling up. ^-^

Today Juan made buckwheat pancakes for breakfast, and hauled out ALL the various syrups from the fridge... so I had pancakes with atkins maple syrup AND diet butterscotch ice cream topping.... yum! We plan to visit WolF today, we haven't gotten to see him in WAY too long, we ran into him at the bank before we were headed to visit Skylles and Branch, and he was about to leave for a convention. He had an attack of some kind at the convention, elevated heart rate and other problems, so now he's ill and dealing with a lot of dr bills and not allowed to drive as he may have another attack. >-< I hope we have a good visit, we have a ton of catching up to do and I feel bad we haven't seen him as much as I'd like this year. We're going to pick him up from work to be his ride home, and then have dinner with his family. He had moved out of the house on his own but now he's back staying with his parents while he's ill. I hope that's going well....
